Absence: a History exists as two different performative practices:

(1) a highly structured, repeatable work for the stage, complete with projections and live sound (duration: 35 minutes)

(2) a highly structured improvisational score for non-theatre sites, with one or all elements from the stage production, depending on site, time of day, capability (duration: variable)

for homeLAalexx makes dances will present Absence as three (3) improvised scores

for the sidewalk: as audience enters (20 minutes)

for the small staircase: mid-event (15 minutes, performed 2x)

for the graduated garden area: at the close of the event, with projection (30 minutes)
