The Long Nighters in: The Very Short Day

An adaptation of ann and alexx make dances’ live work The Long Night (Commissioned by Dance New Amsterdam, 2007), this single channel, Super 8mm transfer is inspired by imagery and time/space experienced in dreams, as well as American silent films. Shot on location in Long Island City, the camera grants access to unusual public locations and lets unfold the non-linear narrative of this unusual alliance of four.
